Little Village's placement services are completed after contracts are signed by both parties. We ONLY pair "Host" families with a family that has two or fewer children who need care to abide by state laws requiring a license for a FCCH if more children are placed. We also limit two children per pairing/household to ensure a more personalized approach and design to childcare.
"In North Carolina, operating an in-home daycare, also known as a Family Child Care Home (FCCH), requires a license and adherence to specific regulations set by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DCDEE). These requirements include demonstrating competency in CPR and First Aid, passing a criminal background check, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Child Care in North Carolina is defined as a program or arrangement where three or more children less than 13-years-old, who do not reside where the care is provided, receive care on a regular basis of at least once per week for more than four hours, but less than 24 hours per day, from people other than their guardians or full-time custodians, or from persons not related to them by birth, marriage, or adoption."
Once your application is reviewed and selected, Little Village will work with you to finalize the details of the care you are able to provide. A fee of $200 applies, which goes toward creating your personalized profile, pairing with a compatible family, and completing state and federal screening. We also provide templates and best practices for your self-employed journey as a professional in-home caregiver.
A one-time fee of $600 is charged by Little Village, but we are currently offering a special rate of $300 to get started! Most nanny agencies charge families 10% of their nanny's annual salary, which could be up to a $6000 fee. Little Village uses this fee to cover background checks, screening, and the time spent on placement to find you the perfect match.
An addendum will be added to the contract that provides a grace period for both the host and the family in need of care to rescind the agreement if either party does not feel it is the right fit.
Each contract is personalized based on both the host familys needs and the family seeking care. It is finalized after a consultation and walkthrough to ensure both parties are confident and comfortable with the placement.
